New political campaign activity code of practice in BC

The Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia and Elections BC have released a political campaign activity code of practice. Its purpose is to establish voluntary ground rules for a level playing field between electoral campaigns, and to balance the role of political parties within British Columbia’s electoral process with the protection of individual privacy. The code includes ten fair campaigning practices for candidates to understand and agree to by signature.  https://www.oipc.bc.ca/guidance-documents/3653
